We chose a Green Dinosaur for a couple of reasons. First of all, for our youngest son, Zeke. He loves dinosaurs about as much as a Ronald McDonald loves hamburgers; at least I hope he does. Heck, Zeke wants to build a time machine and travel back in time to save the dinosaurs from the flood when Noah built the Ark; I'd say that's a lotta love.
Secondly, dinosaurs are just plain cool. I mean really, who can argue with the fact that dinosaurs are fascinating to see on the big screen or stand next to their massive bone models at a local museum. So, being blessed with artistic abilities, I sketched out a green long neck dinosaur that would look friendly and a bit retro. And then we gave him a name that our youngest will never forget; you guessed it; Zeke.
And finally, the another reason the name was chosen was that it was fun and unique. It stood out in a crowd of normal names that can be hard to remember; but not Green Dinosaur Media Company. People really seem to love the name and I've been told that it reflects a business that has family values and we're happy with that image.
At the end of the day, we feel very blessed to have such a wonderful business that we can enjoy and have fun with. In all my years as a minister, I never thought God would use a Green Dinosaur to help us walk out His calling on my life to be a Pastor, but here we are. God Bless, John Schmidt
